PMINYC Invites Innovative-e Managing Partner to Present Strategies for Leveraging SharePoint as a Project Management Information System
Innovative-e, Inc. managing partner, Dux Raymond Sy, will share “7 Ways to Leverage SharePoint for Project Management Success” at a PMINYC Career Development Network event.
ATLANTA — The New York City Chapter of PMI (Project Management Institute) is hosting a Career Development Network event on May 4, 2009, featuring author and SharePoint expert Dux Raymond Sy. Sy is a managing partner for Innovative-e, Inc., a U.S.-based business technology consulting and services company that helps clients gain competitive advantage through high-performance strategies. The event will take place at 5:30 p.m. EST on the 6th floor of the Microsoft Office located at 1290 Avenue of the Americas.
During the presentation, Sy will share “7 Ways to Leverage SharePoint for Project Management Success.” Attendees will acquire the practical knowledge of how SharePoint, a web-based collaboration technology, can address common project management challenges, such as inefficient communication among stakeholders, poor document management practices and undefined project collaboration standards that can compromise project success.
SharePoint provides a framework that can empower project managers to create a standards-based project management information system (PMIS). By the end of the presentation, participants will be able to identify the benefits of leveraging SharePoint as a PMIS, quantify the advantages of using SharePoint as a PMIS compared to other tools and enhance project team collaboration and communication with SharePoint.
With more than 15 years of experience in the IT industry, Sy is a leading expert on project management and SharePoint solutions. He is a certified project management professional, as well as the author of SharePoint for Project Management: How to Create a Project Management Information System (PMIS) with SharePoint. Sy is also an instructor and course author for Learning Tree where he provides in-depth IT training for professionals at leading companies around the world.
There is no fee for PMINYC members to attend the event. Nonmembers are asked to pay $20, which can be paid via the registration process. Attendees of the event will earn credit for one professional development unit (PDU).
